Haute Coiffure Française was on the cover of the 15 March edition of Eclaireur des Coiffeurs, with a close-up on Laurent Decreton on stage carrying out the mid-length cut from the Evolution collection.
The winner of the 2010 HCF Trophy is 28 years old and works in a salon in Rostov-on-Don in Russia. Anastasia Scherbakova won over the panel of professionals and journalists. A transformation with a successful cut and colour combined with refined styling and accessories. ‘Taking part in the HCF Trophy is a very interesting and exciting process, from researching ideas to creating the image to the final stage of carrying it out in Paris,’ Anastasia declared. When asked about her projects for the future she answered that she wants to ‘go and work under internationally renowned hairdressers and one day set up my own salon.’
For the 2010 HCF Trophy the public was asked to lend a hand, and was invited to attend the competition and vote for their favourite model after the onstage parade in the Le Notre room. It was Cyrill Hohl (Luxembourg) who won the Public Prize.
Mr. Nicolas Hieronimus, World President of the L’Oréal Professional Products Division, awarded the 2010 HCF Trophy 2010 colouring prize. He was accompanied on stage by Mrs. Thu Thao Le Thi, the director of L’Oréal Professionnel International collections, and the suspense was tangible. The special colouring prize went to Anastasia Scherbakova (Russia) for her outstanding work using subtle nuances of blonde.
The event attracted the attention of France 24 who broadcast a special Haute Coiffure Française report. France 5 filmed backstage and the morning shows. A documentary is being put together called ‘Des cheveux et des hommes’ (Of hair and men) to illustrate how hair styles have evolved in tandem with society.
Simply wonderful! A stunning association that reaffirms the leading role played by French fashion. The public were stunned by Stéphane Rolland’s haute couture collection with brilliant hair-styling by Jean-Luc Minetti, the artistic director of Alexandre de Paris.
Opening the day’s event, Francis L.Rhod, World President since December 2009, stated: ‘I will uphold and defend the essential values of Haute Coiffure Française and I undertake to meet the needs of our members and of an ever-changing profession.
Haute Coiffure Française rose to the challenge and attracted 1,600 hairdressers from all over the world to the Carrousel du Louvre for stunning haute couture and haute coiffure shows, and an entertaining technical presentation of the new Evolution collection (cf. Shows section).
On December 7, 2009, Francis L. Rhod was elected World President of the Haute Coiffure Française. He takes over from Alain Villiers, who had held this post since 1997. The new President presented the broad strategy for the coming years. Francis L. Rhod is inspired and motivated by the values of Haute Coiffure Française's renowned founders: ethical values; the artistic, professional and commercial qualities of French hairdressing; strong representation of French hairdressing abroad. Based on these timeless values, Francis L. Rhod announced his programme for the influence of Haute Coiffure Française worldwide. his aim is one of drawing together, development and communication.
